“Song of Sun Valley” by Jack Kimball
Awake! Silent pearls have fallen in the night,
  - as cast by gentle angels from the sky.
Rise! Rise upon the powdered blanket white,
  - and bind your wings; prepare to fly.
For Baldy wakes in crystal heaven blue;
  - and time awaits on virgin snow.
The air commands.  It’s clean, and cold, and true;
  - Muir’s mountains call and you must go.
You’ll dance to laughing clouds a fine ballet;
  - hold arms with freedom as you soar;
you’ll tease the sun while riding wind as play;
  - be hailed by Urrl from Asgard’s door,
to live the dream with winter’s gods, some say.
  - and rise to ski for evermore.
